Internships, Webinars, Tools, Hackathons, & more
Hello!
Welcome to the first issue of the CovIntern Weekly, our weekly newsletter bringing you our curated collection of internships, hackathons, webinars, and all kinds of great things students can take advantage of during this pandemic. We’ve put a lot of time into finding great resources, and we hope you’ll find something useful and fun.
If you’ve applied for (or gotten) an internship you found on our platform, we want to know about it! The form should only take about 30 seconds and provides us with essential data. You’ll also have the opportunity to be a ✨featured student✨ in a future CovIntern Weekly!

SummerHacks (Deadline Tomorrow)
“SummerHacks is a 12-week hackathon from May 26th-August 14th, presented by the Freetail Hackers of UT Austin. Throughout the hackathon, we will have various events (think panels, online game days, talks etc.) for both social and professional development. At the end of the 12 weeks, you will create a video demos that will be judged with the opportunity to win prizes.”
Mozilla Summer MVP Lab and Startup Studio
“Mozilla Builders is launching the “Fix-The-Internet Incubator” with 3 programs, great mentors, structure, and the builder community. We are offering a Startup Studio which includes a $75k investment for your early stage startup, the MVP Lab which includes a $16k award for your pre-startup product, and the Open Lab which includes ten $10k prizes. We’re looking to invest in people, projects, and technologies that shape the internet and have a positive impact without having to only worry about the bottom line.”
CodeDay Labs (Early Acceptance Deadline June 1)
“Join us! You'll match with an industry mentor and create a real-world project in four weeks. It's like a real-world internship at a leading tech company, but 100% online. That means you'll get to learn the latest industry tools. (Ever wondered what “Kubernetes” is? Or how real companies set up a GraphQL backend?)”
Thanks for reading our first issue of the CovIntern weekly! Again, if you’ve applied for an internship you found on CovIntern, we want to know about it! We’re also always looking for help from other talented students. If you know of some way you can help us, send us an email at team@covintern.com.
Thanks!
